Hello!
Loving this weather and it looks like it will be staying through the weekend! The sun shining down and the blue skies makes me want to be outside all day. This weekend we headed to a state park, which ended up being a lot of fun and yesterday we pulled out the little pool and sprinkler for the girls. It was great excitement until a leaky swim diaper caused a little situation that landed all three in the bathtub and resulted in a sanitized pool and toys.
Daddy and his girls heading out to explore.
Daddy and his little lady.
They have found their shadows…oh what fun!
Fun in the sun…
Words:
With our baby making his appearance about a week from now these scriptures have been on my mind.
13 For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful, I know that full well.
27 For this child I prayed, and the Lord has granted me my petition which I asked of Him.
Crafts:
I finished the ribbon blocks that match the ribbon blanket and the little bells inside sound so cute!
Also, I forgot until this past week that I had started a cowl with yarn I got on our last kid-free getaway. I finished it up last night and realize it truly is a “knit in one hour project”, I just never had an hour straight to sit down and do it! For the cowl I used:
addi Turbo Circular Size US 15 circular needles, 32″
1 Skein Cascade Magnum Yarn in Iridescence
The yarn started out like this…
I decided to ditch the pattern I was going to use and just cast on 68 stitches and knit in the round with knit two, purl two until the yarn was almost gone. Then I finished off with the remaining yarn. The cowl is cozy and I plan on pulling it out this fall. For those that don’t know a cowl in really basic terms is a scarf that is knit in a circle. So, I just put the circle around my neck and twist it around one more time = Warmth!
We are anxiously awaiting our little guy’s arrival and are very excited to hold him in our arms. As you may have guessed posts will slow down for a while, but I will be back to post with updates on how cloth diapering is going, sewing his quilt, and other fun things!
